1. Who we are

This privacy policy explains how Rivella Traiteur (“Rivella,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information through this website, in particular when you submit our contact form to request a quote or information about our catering services. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (commonly known as Law 25) and applicable Canadian privacy law.

2. Privacy officer

Rivella Traiteur has designated the person with the highest authority in the business as the person responsible for the protection of personal information, in accordance with the Act.

3. Personal information we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your full name, email address, phone number, event date, number of guests, event location, event type, the services you're interested in, and any message you include. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site, and we do not automatically collect additional information about your visit beyond what you submit in the form.

4. Why we collect it

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote or proposal, and coordinate the catering services you've requested. We do not use it for any other purpose.

5. Consent

By submitting the contact form, you consent to our collection and use of your information for the purpose described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see “Your rights” below); this does not affect anything already done with your information before the withdrawal.

6. Cookies

This site does not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Your form submission is delivered directly to our team by email through the service providers that operate our website and email communications, solely so that we can receive and respond to your message. Some of these service providers may process information on servers located outside Quebec or Canada.

8. Where your information is kept

We do not maintain a database or CRM of contact form submissions. Your message is delivered as an email to our team's inbox and is not separately stored or logged by our website.

9. Retention period

We keep your information only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if applicable, to coordinate and complete the event you've booked with us, after which it is deleted in the normal course of our email management, unless we're legally required to keep records longer (for example, invoicing for a confirmed event).

10. How we protect your information

We use reasonable security measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) transmission of the contact form and restricted access to the email account where messages are received.

11. Your rights

Under Law 25, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected if inaccurate, withdraw your consent, request that it be deleted, and receive a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).

To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy officer at contact@rivellatraiteur.ca. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).

12. Age

This website and its contact form are intended for individuals 14 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes took effect.
